CATL, the global lithium battery giant, announced that it will spend 5.6 billion yuan to launch a new generation of lithium iron phosphate battery project, with a planned annual production capacity of more than 100GWh.
The global power battery leader CATL recently announced that its new lithium iron phosphate battery project in Ningde, Fujian Province has officially started, with a total investment of 5.6 billion yuan and a planned annual production capacity of 100GWh, which is expected to be fully operational in 2026. The expansion adopts CATL's self-developed third-generation lithium iron phosphate technology, which will focus on high-energy-density lithium iron phosphate (LFP) technology and further consolidate CATL's leading position in the global lithium iron phosphate battery market. Lithium iron phosphate batteries are reshaping the new energy industry pattern with the characteristics of low cost, high safety and long life.
