The Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Market Supervision Bureau recently released five draft local standards for comments, which systematically regulate the technical requirements of the entire life cycle of grid-type energy storage systems for the first time, providing a "breaking the problem" sample for the construction of local standards for energy storage systems (ESS) in 2025. The "Technical Specifications for the Connection of Grid-Type Electrochemical Energy Storage Systems to Power Systems" and other documents released this time clearly require that energy storage systems must integrate core components such as energy storage batteries, energy storage converters and battery boxes, and have multiple functions such as peak load regulation, frequency regulation, and black start. Among them, the grid-type energy storage system must support long-term operation at 110% of the rated current, and maintain stable power supply for more than 2 minutes at 120% overload, significantly improving the emergency response capability of the power grid. The standard covers the entire chain of "access-setting-operation-monitoring-testing": the "Parameter Setting Technical Specification" innovatively adopts a dynamic threshold setting process to solve the problem of blind adjustment of traditional energy storage systems; the "Test Specification" adds grid fault simulation and grid-connected and off-grid switching tests, requiring energy storage systems to achieve millisecond-level inertia response in a weak grid environment.
