Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province recently announced the environmental impact assessment report of the lithium battery recycling project of Guangdong Dishengli New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. The total investment of the project is 400 million yuan, and it is planned to process 40,000 tons of retired lithium batteries annually. It is expected to produce 20,000 tons of lithium iron phosphate batteries, 3,000 tons of ternary lithium powder and 5,000 tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate annually. Lithium iron phosphate batteries have become the core resource direction of the project due to their long life and high safety. After retirement, lithium iron phosphate batteries can still be used in energy storage power stations, base station backup power supplies and other fields, and have significant economic value.
